Snoop Lion's 'Reincarnated' Documentary Coming Up!

Have you also noticed how Snoop Dogg changed his name to Snoop Lion and heard rumors that he claims to be done with rapping? It came to me as a shock, as this hip hop grandmaster is of course one of our biggest 420 heroes since many years. But what better thing to do when you have made it as far as he did in rap music, then to conquer a new territory?

Snoop has set his bets on reggae music and wants to reincarnate into a true Rastafarian. ‘I’ve been on the top ever since I’ve been in it. I got rap songs that will never die. And that ain’t with no disrespect but I’m tired of rapping. I want to do a record – a whole record – with no rapping.’ Snoop explained. He travelled to Jamaica to record a whole album and releasing a documentary to go with it. Snoop claims that “the spirit called him” to embrace reggae and Rastafarian culture. “Anytime the spit calls you, you gotta know that it’s serious, that it’s real…’
The documentary will be produced by Snoopadelic Films in cooperation with VICE Films and follows Snoops time in Jamaica where he went to record his new album together with Diplo, also known as Major Laser. In his time in Jamaica we will see him enjoying the Rastafarian culture and becoming reincarnated as Snoop Lion.
As we heard he has also been hanging at a weed farm in Jamaica, you can expect to see the Snoop we all know best; smoking big fat joints, but this time while singing reggae tunes. Well, Snoop is still our hero, so it just leaves me to say; Go for it Dogg! (or Lion) Keep on rocking and keep on toking!
